The Ama Kip Kip brand was established in 2006 by Siyabonga Ngwekazi and Nkosana Modise, two street gear enthusiasts who met at the Hip Hop Summit in 2005.
Nkosana, who began frequenting China around that time, would often return with new gear for his new friend as the two shared their knowledge on fashion trends. Now in '08, on the chest of every new age, hip hop lover in J-Sec sits this brand name that represents a fresh era.
As the fastest-growing youth culture label in the country, Ama Kip Kip aims to drop a full clothing range including hoodies, jackets, golf shirts and sneakers by June 2009.
They are also making moves to distribute throughout South Africa and selected African countries in the near future. They’re big. But we have a feeling we ain't seen nothing yet.
