Young Jeezy - The Recession

Young Jeezy is one of the most original rappers to come out in the most recent memory. Known for his multi-layered vocals and laughs throughout his songs, he jump-started a trend of rappers from the south following suit.

He's back with his third in attempt to try and sell some records in a declining music market due to the economy.

Jeezy goes back to his pie flippin' self on ‘Welcome Back’ and ‘Hustlaz Ambition’ talking about what he's known for best: catchy drug talk. ‘Circulate’ is one of the strongest cuts on the album. This and the Kanye assisted T-Pain inspired ‘Put On’ stands out as the powerhouses on the album.

Even though the album isn't as good as Thug Motivation, Jeezy still manages to stick to his formula. Read the Dec issue of HYPE to see how many stars Jeezy received.
