22 year old rapper, Bow Wow has chosen to walk away from the mic after 17 years in the hip hop game. Announcing his retirement on a Real Talk NY vid, Bow explained that he feels like there is nothing more for him to achieve in the hip hop industry and would now like to focus on his acting career. Since staring in the box office hit, Like Mike, his acting career has been taking off rapidly, landing him roles alongside Forest Whitaker in the 2009 blockbuster Hurricane Season and HBO’s Entourage.
News of ‘Lamborghini Bow’s departure from the scene comes only weeks after he dropped his last album, New Jack City II. The new album hit stores on 31 March 09 and showcases the reunion of Bow Wow and super producer, JD. Speaking on his relationship with JD, Bow explained how he had to squash the beef and get back together with him for the last album. “JD and Snoop were basically responsible for Bow Wow. so I called him, put our egos to the side, and got back in studio for the last album. Everything is cool now.’ he said.
