Not only is the release date for Eminem’s Relapse album been confirmed, May 19 09, but Slim Shady has recently announced that he will put out another album titled ‘Relapse 2,’ within the same year!
Em’s first single off Relapse, Crack a Bottle featuring Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, set a Soundscan record after it got the highest download sales within the first week, with a total of 418,000. A video for Crack a Bottle is also scheduled to air on April 7.
Relapse will be Shady’s first studio album since he dropped Encore in 2004.
According to hiphopdx.com Eminem says: ‘A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year, I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months.
We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out 'Relapse 2' will let everyone get all of the best stuff,’ – Van Go
