We've seen many hip hop shows around South Africa getting discontinued, and now it's been reported that the top management at KQ FM are announcing that the show 'Voice of Hip Hop' shall be no more...
This is the only hip hop show the PE community has always relied on. Host Sebz says about the discontinuation: "KQ FM has been 5 Years running, and management came up with certain changes in reference with the line up. Sadly 'Voice of Hip Hop' was not part of the new line up, reason being said that there must be changes within the station."
Sebz had two shows at the station, namely 'Voice of hip hop' on Saturdays and a weekday afternoon show.
"They told me that I must incorporate hip hop into my new slot which is between 12 - 3 PM every day on Fridays only and I'm not willing to do that. What we wanted was more time not being jacked out [by taking away the Saturday show]. We need to do a petition to bring the show back!" He stated.
PE headz need to write proposals to Bay FM and KQ maybe, who knows smething positive might come out this...
